Commercial drones pose emerging security challenges due to their low cost and compact size, and because they are small and built from low-reflectivity materials, acoustic, infrared or radar sensing alone is insufficient. This paper applies machine learning to high-resolution radar imagery for drone detection and classification. Simulation results from commercial drone models are compared with experimental field-test data to validate classification accuracy.
